Colonels Back Home to Host North Alabama Wednesday
Wednesday will be Equality and Inclusion Night. EKU is joining basketball programs from around the nation in holding an Equality and Inclusion Night between Feb. 10-24 with the purpose of keeping the fight for equality in the national spotlight.

The game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. ET and will air live on ESPN+. The live radio broadcast of the game is available in the Richmond area on WCYO 100.7 FM, and can be heard worldwide on EKUSports.com.

INSIDE THE SERIES
- North Alabama leads the series 1-0. The Lions won the first-ever meeting between the two programs earlier this season, 76-75, on Jan. 11.
- Daniel Ortiz led UNA with 20 points in the first meeting. Damian Forrest finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Jomaru Brown and Russhard Cruickshank came off the bench to each score 14 for the Colonels. Jannson Williams and Devontae Blanton grabbed 10 rebounds each.
- EKU turned the ball over 18 times, compared to 15 for North Alabama. The Lions shot 47 percent from the field.
THE COLONELS
- Eastern Kentucky is 11-15 and 3-9 against ASUN squads after falling at Lipscomb, 83-73, on Saturday.
- Jomaru Brown led EKU with 18 points against Lipscomb. He also had five assists and two steals.
- Michael Moreno hit five 3-pointers and finished with 17 points at Lipscomb.
- Curt Lewis set a new career-high with three blocks in the game against Lipscomb.
- EKU broke the program record for 3-point attempts in a season. The Colonels currently have 885 attempts from deep this year. The previous record was 865 set in 2012-13. This year's team needs 14 more 3-pointers made to tie the program mark of 327 set in 2009-10.
- Eastern Kentucky leads the ASUN Conference and is 15th in the nation with an average of 80.31 points per game.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- North Alabama is 9-16 this season and 2-10 against ASUN teams. The Lions have lost four straight, including a 75-69 setback at home against Bellarmine on Saturday.
- C.J. Brim led the team with 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field against Bellarmine. Will Soucie had seven points and 10 rebounds. UNA shot 45 percent from the field, but made just 4-of-14 (29 percent) from 3-point range. Bellarmine hit on 11-of-26 from deep for 42 percent.
- Ortiz leads the team in scoring at 12.0 points per game. The 6-foot freshman guard has hit on 38 percent of his attempts from the field and 33 percent from long range.
- Brim, a 5-foot-9 senior guard, averages 9.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and a team-high 2.8 assists per game. Forrest, a 6-foot-10 sophomore forward, has pulled down a team-best 5.6 rebounds per game.
