Podcast — We’re back! It’s been a while since we’ve recorded an episode of the PGH Sports Castle Podcast, but we are indeed back! Long story short, we’ve dealt with a lot of technical difficulties, crazy schedules and, well, more technical difficulties!
However, this week, the wheels are back up and running. Rachael Kriger introduces to the PGH Sports Castle Podcast one of the site’s Pittsburgh Penguins writers, Owen Krepps.
Owen joins the show to give a hockey preview. However, the group would be remiss if they didn’t mention the absolute thrashing of Louisville City FC by the Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC. That’s right, folks, live sports with a connection to the Steel City has made it’s way back into our lives. The Riverhounds kicked off their shortened 2020 season in the USL Championship with a 3-1 victory over rival Louisville at their brand new stadium. Rachael takes a quick five minutes to open the show, speaking about the win.
Then, it was time to get into hockey. Owen dives deep into the CBA and the host cities for the upcoming NHL Playoffs. Those host cities are Toronto and Edmonton, which, as we know, are both located north of the boarder in Canada.
Owen then chats about players who have opted out of the tournament and which Penguins will be suiting up in Canada. Then, Owen gives his predictions on the upcoming slew of games to kick off the playoffs.
