Women's Golf Back in Action at 44th Annual Pat Bradley Invitational - FGCU Athletics

FORT MYERS, Fla. – The FGCU women's golf team returns to action this weekend at the 44th Annual Pat Bradley Invitational hosted by FIU at The Lakewood Ranch and Country Club.

The three-day, 54-hole event begins Saturday starting at 8 AM with live scoring available through www.GolfState.com.

The Eagles are coming off a fourth-place finish at the Jupiter Invitational where Laura Edmonds (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Cypress Bay) placed third overall in a record-setting third round that included a hole-in-one for the senior.

Edmonds set a school-record with a six-under 65 in the third round, while her six under performance also tied the school record for Low Round vs. Par. She also tied for the second-best low 54-hole total in program history with a three-round score of 206. For the Jupiter Invitational, her score of 65 today was a new tournament record, while her hole-in-one was the first ever for the event.

The last time the Eagles played in the Pat Bradley, FGCU finished 3rd among 17 teams in 2019-20. Prior to last year's shortened season, FGCU had competed in the event 14 consecutive seasons.

For the season, Edmonds holds a 70.83 scoring average to lead FGCU through two tournaments. Anouk Casty (Basserdrof, Switzerland/Academia) is just behind (74.33), while Haley Yerxa (Ottawa, Ontario/Hillcrest) ranks third (75.33).

This will mark the final fall competition for the Eagles before resuming play in February at the FAU Paradise Invitational in Boca Raton.
