On March 13, 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic became real to many college football fans. Epidemiologists had warned us about the severity of the coronavirus on your personal health, but few foresaw the toll it would take on the mental health of those following the ins and outs of recruiting. Is it it even possible to stalk a high schooler on Twitter if they’re not posting visit photos? One shudders at the very question.
Luckily for every ‘crootin head out there, you no longer have to resort to whispers of phone calls and vague instagram posts. Starting today, in-person recruiting is back from its year-plus stay on the dead period.
There will be some tweaks to the allowances programs have considering the longer dead period, and the NCAA has been pretty clear about laying them out for us. That way, we can meticulously keep our own teams accountable while scrupulously pointing out every time one of the rules gets violated by Bill Self Bruce Pearl. Will Wade.
The frenzy to get recruits on campus has already started, as you can see from this list of visits put together by Mizzou Hoops recruit Jalen Hooks.
