YOUR FIRST ALERT FORECAST FROM CHIEF METEOROLOGIST ERIK MAITLAND:
***FIRST ALERT DAY FRIDAY TO MIDNIGHT***
The storm tracking through the area will still be an issue Friday evening and overnight as snow finally swings east and moves through areas that have
been getting freezing rain during the day. This evening snow will cover already glazed surfaces causing continuing slick conditions in the night.
Ice accumulations will total around a quarter inch or more, and snow might add up to 2 to 5 inches in places, mainly northwest of the Metro QC.
Poor travel conditions with the wintry mix will continue into the overnight hours. There is a chance for a few light snow showers Saturday evening
to the south and east of the Metro QC and then into next week temps get a bit milder and the weather stays mainly dry until the midweek.
TONIGHT: CLOUDY AND COLD. FREEZING RAIN ENDS AND SNOW TAPERS OFF. LOW: 18°. WIND: N/NW 5-10
SATURDAY: PARTLY TO MOSTLY CLOUDY. LIGHT EVENING SNOW SOUTHEAST. 31°. WIND: LIGHT NE
SUNDAY: PARTLY SUNNY. HIGH: 33°
