NEENAH (WKOW) -- A Wisconsin family is looking back a year after being separated by the COVID-19 outbreak in China. Daisy Roth and her daughters Abby and Ada were visiting family in Wuhan at the start of the pandemic.
Husband and father Sam Roth was home in Neenah, trying to find a way to bring them back. In an interview with Milwaukee affiliate WISN-TV, Daisy Roth said it was a scary time for the family.
"Yeah, I was scared that anything happened in China and we're so far away from each other. It was really hard to imagine the future," said Daisy Roth.
They eventually made it onto an evacuation flight. They quarantined at a California military base and made it home. Now, the Roths are not going out much and appreciating the time they have together.
