sumurbelakang.blogspot.com

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will linger into Sunday evening in portions of Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

The NWS Storm Prediction Center shows a marginal risk (shaded dark green) of severe weather this Sunday evening and Sunday night in much of northern Minnesota and portions of central Minnesota:

The southern edge of the marginal risk area includes northern Wright County and northwestern Anoka County into northern Chisago County of Minnesota. Marginal risk means that an isolated severe thunderstorm is possible. The Storm Prediction Center updates their severe weather outlook every few hours.

Temperature trends

Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to reach the upper 70s Tuesday and Wednesday, followed by mid 80s Thursday and upper 80s on Friday. Our dew points will also rise by Thursday and Friday. The metro area could see highs around 90 degrees next weekend, with summery dew points.

Warmer than normal temps could stick with us the following week. The NWS Climate Prediction Center shows a strong tendency for above-normal temps in Minnesota and Wisconsin from June 7 through June 13:

Temperature outlook June 7 through June 13

I guess the warm temps are appropriate; meteorological summer begins June 1.
