SAN FRANCISCO — Colorado goalkeeper Dani Hansen was selected as the Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Week for the second consecutive week on Monday.
The sophomore from Broomfield, Colo., stopped 20 of 21 shots she faced in CU's two matches against Washington this past weekend.
Hansen opened with an 11-save performance that included a stop on a penalty kick, helping her to her third shutout of the season in CU's 0-0 draw against the Huskies. She got the nod again in net on Sunday, making another nine saves in CU's 2-1 loss.
Hansen ranks first in the Pac-12 and 23rd in the NCAA with her three shutouts. She also leads the conference with 32 saves in her four starts. Her 8.0 saves per game rank seventh in the nation, while she's 25th in the NCAA with a Pac-12 best .941 save percentage.
She's the first goalkeeper to earn back-to-back honors since Cal's Angelina Anderson (Oct. 15 and Oct. 22, 2019). Hansen is the first CU keeper to go back-to-back since Jalen Tompkins closed the 2017 season with three straight awards.
Colorado is back on the road this week, heading to Northern California. The Buffs will open at Cal on Friday (4 p.m. MT) and then head to Stanford on Sunday (1 p.m. MT).
